Just found out that I was shortlisted for the RTE Guide / Penguin Ireland / Dublin City Library Short Story Competition.

Have to say that I am extremely chuffed with this bit of news, especially as the judges found much ‘merit’ with my writing.

Have been invited along to a one day writer’s conference and workshop on the back of it with some interesting speakers.

Just to let you know that I have had a recent piece – ‘Eyes Wide Open – accepted for publication with Full Armor Magazine .

‘Eyes Wide Open’ is a short story that tells of an elderly lady’s birthday surprise which leads to a final journey of discovery.
