Just to let you know that I have had a recent piece – ‘The Good Boy’ – published over at Apollo’s Lyre <— click the link to read it.
Apollo’s Lyre is an online ezine loaded with writing articles, poetry, flash fiction, interviews, and more…for writers and readers of every caliber and genre.
I hope that you enjoy reading it as much as I did writing it.
I just stumbled across this blog and was blown away by the little information there is about the woman as well as the amazing photographs. For anyone interested in art I would suggest that you check it out – you won’t be disappointed.
With Painted Words is a creative writing site that puts the adage, ‘a picture paints a thousand words’ to the test. The premise is that, each month, an image will be given as a visual prompt and you … yes, YOU … will have up to one thousand words, and not a letter more, to tell the story that you are inspired to write.
The inaugural contest sees an image from Chris Howard – novelist, short-story writer and artist – taking centre stage as the inspiration/prompt behind the submissions. Chris’ first novel Seaborn (Juno Books) was released in July 2008. His short stories have appeared in a bunch of places, mostly online zines including Fantasy Magazine. In 2007 he won the Heinlein Centennial Short Fiction Contest. He is also the author/artist on his weekly updated graphic novel / web comic Saltwater Witch – you can find out more about him, and his work, at http://www.saltwaterwitch.com/
A single, winning, person is going to be lucky enough to have their piece chosen to receive a print of Chris’ artwork, as a prize.
Submissions are currently open and have a deadline of Sunday 23rd October 2009 at 23:59 GMT
